Presented in Partnership with Fashion Group International, Sergio Soldano’s First Collection in Decades Marks an Artful Renaissance in Luxury Womenswear
NEW YORK (February 11, 2026) – Italian fashion house SERGIO SOLDANO is officially back. The newly revived luxury brand made its 21st-century New York Fashion Week debut with a Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection presentation at Printemps New York, presented in partnership with Fashion Group International Inc. (FGI). Now under the creative direction of Giovanni Premoli and Dario Di Bella, Sergio Soldano presented a virtuosic collection marked by expressive stylistic courage and Italian artistry.
Among the notables of the New York fashion world in attendance were FGI President and CEO Maryanne Grisz and CEO of Printemps America Thierry Prevost, among others. Sergio Soldano Creative Directors Giovanni Premoli and Dario Di Bella were present to personally introduce the collection, joined by Antonio Lemma, Founder of Desire Holding, S.A. Set within the magnificent Printemps New York in the heart of the Financial District, the presentation unfolded as an immersive journey into the world of Sergio Soldano. Guests ascended the grand staircase and arrived on the second floor, entering the Boudoir, an intimate space infused with a refined Art Deco atmosphere and unmistakable French allure, where they were immediately enveloped by the Maison’s distinctive universe.
The collection commanded the room with a carefully orchestrated mise-en-scène: selected looks were suspended overhead, others arranged along the perimeter, creating a powerful visual dialogue that framed the space. At the center, a live artistic performance brought the collection to life, as Sergio Soldano models interpreted the garments in motion, transforming the presentation into a living, breathing tableau.

A spellbinding violin performance by the renowned artist Lauren Cauley, paired with an evocative performance by vocalist Minda Larsen, elevated the evening, infusing it with emotion and theatrical intensity. The 107-piece collection, spanning luxury ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, and accessories, unfolded as a complete narrative, allowing guests to fully experience the spectacle and emotion that fashion, at its highest expression, can offer. Rooted in refined Italian craftsmanship yet articulated through a contemporary, expressive lens, the presentation created a seamless dialogue between heritage and modernity, affirming Sergio Soldano’s renewed vision for urban, sophisticated life today.
The ascendant fashion house first drew attention during 2025 market week, cementing its partnership with Printemps New York and numerous other U.S. retailers and paving the way for its official New York Fashion Week debut.

Dario Di Bella, Sergio Soldano Co-Creative Director: “Both this collection and this evening are born from a deep belief shared with Maestro Sergio Soldano: that fashion holds an emotional truth and that it is one of the most authentic languages through which culture, memory and imagination can be expressed. Fashion is not only about form, but about feeling, gesture and storytelling. Being here tonight, surrounded by friends, supporters and partners such as FGI and Printemps New York, feels like the most meaningful way to honour that vision and to celebrate the return of the House of Sergio Soldano.”
Thierry Prevost, CEO of Printemps America: “The return of Sergio Soldano feels both timely and timeless. At Printemps New York, we’re drawn to brands that honor where they come from while confidently finding a new voice, and this collection reflects that spirit beautifully.”
Maryanne Grisz, FGI President & CEO: “Fashion Group International Inc. has always stood at the intersection of fashion heritage and future innovation. It is our honor to celebrate the Sergio Soldano legacy while supporting fashion leaders of the future like Giovanni Premoli and Dario Di Bella, as they, with the support of Desire Holding and in partnership with Printemps New York, chart an inspired new course for the house of Sergio Soldano.”

Introducing the Sergio Soldano Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Women’s Luxury Ready-to-Wear Collection
Comprising 77 garments and 27 accessories, the debut collection by Co-Creative Directors Giovanni Premoli and Dario Di Bella marks the house’s creative rebirth and establishes a new visual language for Sergio Soldano: one rooted in Italian artistry and emotional storytelling, yet decisively oriented toward the future.
Rather than revisiting archival silhouettes, the designers approach the house’s legacy as a living, evolving language. Every silhouette is newly conceived, with accessories and components rethought from the ground up and executed through elevated craftsmanship and hand-finished techniques, including painterly prints created through oil painting on canvas and transferred onto silk and other noble fabrics. These concepts and processes underscore the Maison’s Made in Italy ethos and artistic soul.
“It was never our intention to reference the past through literal forms or silhouettes. We see Sergio Soldano’s legacy as a living visual language, expressed most powerfully through the collection’s prints,” says Sergio Soldano Co-Creative Director Giovanni Premoli. “Here, memory becomes vision, and heritage is translated through elevated craftsmanship, new forms, and noble materials—shaping a renewed Sergio Soldano aesthetic rooted in Italian excellence.”
The collection unfolds across four macro-themes exploring adornment as a form of expression and renewal:

Theme 1: The Architecture of Black, the Revelation of the Anemone
Black tones, architectural silhouettes, and sculpted volumes rendered in leather and silk define a new, confident elegance.
A handcrafted leather anemone flower emerges as a signature motif—symbolizing rebirth, resilience, and quiet strength.

Theme 2: Genoa, Return to Origins
An homage to the birthplace of Maestro Sergio Soldano, where historic palazzi and monumental urban perspectives are translated into graphic silk prints and sculptural forms, grounding the house’s revival in its cultural and geographic roots.

Theme 3: Squares in the City, Urban Geometries
Urban geometry meets sartorial precision.
Clean lines, functional volumes, and vibrant accents shape a contemporary wardrobe designed for fluid movement, versatility, and modern city life.

Theme 4: The Time of Sinopia, Rebirth
A poetic reflection on creative beginnings, inspired by preparatory fresco drawings and architectural details along Via XX Settembre in Genoa.
Memory is transformed into print, gesture, and future-facing vision.
Founded in 1968, Sergio Soldano emerged as one of Italy’s most distinctive fashion voices, celebrated for a bold, geometric aesthetic, vibrant color, and an innate ability to flatter the female form. A favorite among international high society and cultural icons, from Liz Taylor and Gina Lollobrigida to Monica Vitti and Virna Lisi—the designer presented collections across Rome, Florence, Milan, New York, Paris, and beyond, helping shape the visual language of mid-century modern fashion. Revered as “the new man of fashion,” Sergio Soldano’s work transcended the runway, appearing in film, editorial, and popular culture, and cementing his legacy as a creative force whose influence continues to resonate today.
The Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection signals a new chapter for Sergio Soldano: a narrative written in noble materials, impeccable construction, and precious, beautiful details that define the Sergio Soldano woman as elegant, powerful, and contemporary, reaffirming the enduring value of Italian savoir-faire within a distinctly contemporary aesthetic vision. As the house enters its next phase, its expanding retail presence reflects a measured, intentional growth: one guided by creative integrity, craftsmanship, and long-term vision.

Sergio Soldano made his official debut in 1968, drawing inspiration from his ancient and noble Tuscan lineage to fuel his passion for fashion.
