New York (February 7, 2023) – Made-to-measure suiting takes on a fresh edge with Sartoria Studio, a men’s fashion retail concept store developed by longtime collaborators Jack Menashe and James Mansour, the visionaries behind New York City’s iconic Limelight Marketplace, LOUNGE Soho, and countless other iconic New York City retail destinations. The modern haberdashery and style lab officially opened last night in Soho with a star-studded event attended by fashion designers and leading lights of New York’s City’s fashion community. The new store is already out to make a difference, partnering with Fashion Group International, Inc. for the month of February: lending further support to the FGI Foundation fund benefiting nonprofit ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer.

Sartoria Studio welcomed well-heeled guests to the store at 65-69 Houston Street from 6 to 9 p.m., among the first to discover the lounge-like space’s curated sample garments, premium ready-to-wear and accessory items, and décor offerings. Guests in attendance included FGI President and CEO Maryanne Grisz; fashion designers Frederick Anderson, Loris Diran, Carlos Campos, and others; as well as Fern Mallis; Chris Lavish, Katya Tolstova, and Olga Ferrara. Throughout the event, vocalist Minda Larsen and saxophonist Miles Tucker entertained attendees with a live performance. In a surprise turn of events, the Funny Auctioneer Bill McCuddy made an appearance and took over as master of ceremonies to introduce Sartoria Studio Founder Jack Menashe and Principal of Mansour Design, James Mansour.

Long recognized for his unique style, with Sartoria Studio, Menashe says, “Men often tell me that they’d like to know how to dress better but they just don’t know where to start. They crave trusted advice. That is why we employ a team of skilled stylists in addition to our on-site tailor, to help our clients button everything up and take their look to the next level.”

Sartoria Studio was established with a unique mission to help men develop and discover their own unique fashion identities, and to offer Italian tailored, made-to-measure clothing with a unique downtown sartorial point-of-view. The evening offered the opportunity for guests to interact with the Sartoria Studio staff tailor and stylists for styling advice and guidance through the store’s premium fabrics and luxe trims.

The intimate, relaxed club environment was the perfect venue for the event. The inspired interior by James Mansour reflects the essence of heritage Florentine workshops long admired by store founder and CEO Jack Menashe. “Sartoria Studio brings the experience of the best Italian tailoring to Soho,” says Menashe. “We offer the most luxurious fabrics, hand finishes, and the precision fit you can only get from a made-to-measure garment.” The sophisticated store also reflects the founder’s determination to inject much-needed personality into fine made-to-measure menswear.

According to designer James Mansour, Principal of Mansour Design, “The intimate club-style interior expresses that ephemeral spirit of sprezzatura—quintessentially cool, unmistakably Italian nonchalance—layered with the textures, colors, and flavors of New York city’s resurgent Soho district.” Menashe also tapped Mansour to develop the Sartoria Studio brand identity.

Whether a custom tuxedo, suit, sport jacket, or oxford shirt, each bench-crafted Sartoria Studio garment is designed to impress and constructed to last using only the finest materials from leading textile mills including Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Drapers by Vitale Barberis Canonico, Caccioppoli Napoli, Holland & Sherry, and more. Made-to-order apparel can be further customized with a range of elevated trims and embellishments like hand-stitched bone or mother-of-pearl buttons, custom monograms, and premium accessories such as the house’s own hand-stitched cashmere and silk pocket squares.

In addition to samples and ready-to-wear men’s accessories, premium denim, and attire from the likes of Thomas Mason, the lounge gallery also features a rotating exhibition of limited-edition collectibles, artworks, design objects, and furnishings curated by James Mansour. Each and every item in the store, from the décor to the wall art, is available for sale – ensuring that the lounge environment will always be in a state of evolution.

The haberdashery, located at 65-69 West Houston Street at the corner of Wooster Street, welcomes clients seven days a week, whether a walk-in or private appointment. Clients booking private appointments can expect a pampering experience, with the chance to enjoy catered fare and beverages courtesy of the Studio’s own private chef. The seamless experience also extends after hours with off-site fittings, sample deliveries, and on-call styling advice from the company’s styling concierges available upon request.

Clients can also be assured that their February purchases will contribute to a good cause. Jack Menashe will be donating 10% of sales from the month of February to The Blue Jacket Fashion Show cause, via the Fashion Group International (FGI)  Foundation benefiting nonprofit advocacy group ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer. With FGI, Sartoria Studio is proud to support the non-profit’s efforts to raise awareness and funding to support prostate cancer patients, improve early detection, and reduce mortality, with special emphasis on remedying racial disparities and supporting underserved communities. Sartoria Studio also outfitted Blue Jacket event Co-Founder and fashion designer Frederick Anderson in a made-to-measure Sartoria Studio blue jacket for the recent Blue Jacket Fashion Show in New York City, and the jacket was also on display in the store for the event
