Housed in a 39mm stainless steel case, the timepiece combines a moon phase and pointer date display with a 72-hour power reserve and is offered in two versions: a night blue dial or rosé champagne dial, each paired with interchangeable blue Saffiano leather and stainless steel options. Manufacture movement and module
The Highlife Moonphase Date introduces two complications powered by the Manufacture FC-716 movement. Designed and assembled at Frederique Constant’s Geneva Manufacture, the self-winding caliber delivers a 72-hour power reserve thanks to a barrel spring made from a new alloy and housed within a redesigned barrel.
On the dial side, Frederique Constant has developed a highly realistic moon display, rendering the lunar surface through shades of gray, relief, and shadowed areas.
The combination of moon phase and date is both natural and functional. The date change drives the progression of the moon through its average 29.5-day cycle, synchronizing the two complications. All functions are adjusted through the crown for straightforward operation.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement’s perlage and Côtes de Genève finishing reflect the attention Frederique Constant brings to the decoration of its Manufacture calibers.
Two contrasting variations
Frederique Constant offers two versions of the Highlife Moonphase Date Manufacture, both housed in a 39mm stainless steel case. On each, the sunray finish radiates not from the center of the dial, but from the moon phase display at 6 o’clock, making it the visual focal point of the composition.
The first version features a rosé champagne dial, whose golden and copper tones create a warm backdrop for the deep sidereal blue moon phase display. Applied, mirror-polished indexes filled with luminescent material enhance the dial, complemented by similarly treated hour and minute hands.
The second version takes a more tonal approach. Its night blue sunray dial is slightly lighter than the moon phase display, creating visual continuity while allowing each element to retain its own nuance. A red “31” provides the only contrasting accent, marking the final day of the month and the beginning of the next cycle.
Both versions are delivered with two interchangeable options. The first is a blue Saffiano leather strap distinguished by its signature crosshatch grain, balancing an elegant appearance with a sporty character. Its protective finish also provides resistance to scratches, light and moisture. The second is a five-link stainless steel bracelet combining polished and brushed finishes. Together, the interchangeable options allow the watch to shift easily between more casual and refined settings, reinforcing the Highlife collection’s balance of sport and elegance.
